Medical Product Innovator

The Biopsy PolyGuide is a device made for the course Senior Design (BIOE 4030) at Clemson University. My team was comprised of five women, myself, Eva Caruso, Maren Downing, McKenzie Fletcher, Yvette Ramirez and Chelsea Rose! Wee all had worked closely through curriculum and creative inquires prior to our senior year so we knew we would bee an excellent team. At the beginning of the year, we designated each other all distinctive "hats", we were satisfied and defined as a leader, motivator, morale booster, spokesperson and the idea woman. By the end of our project we laughed because we learned that truly we were all leaders who possessed all of these qualities and just somehow made our team work seamlessly, my favorite team I have ever been apart of!
The Biopsy PolyGuide: Overview

Guided through the coaxial cannula of a standard biopsy, the Biopsy PolyGuide is a delivery system that will be used to place the biopsy site marker and a followable polymer trail to the site of interest for the surgeon's use during lumpectomy.
